Goal
To ensure that the Kenya Community effectively and efficiently adapt to climate variability and change and mitigate its effects according to the national capacity and responsibility
Purpose
Generation of knowledge and promoting its sharing to contribute to climate change adaptation and mitigation in Kenya
Objectives
To conduct research and documentation on climate change adaptation
To disseminate and lobby for policy and projects on climate change adaptation and mitigation
To enhance awareness and involvement of the youth and communities in understanding climate change and the need for political, community and personal actions

PEACE AND NON-VIOLENCE
Interventions
- Training on peace building and conflict resolutions
- Orientation on non‐violence on active non‐violence to young people
- Sensitization through village based workshops

Impacts
- By 2012 we will have trained 2,000 young people on peace building active non‐violence
and conflict resolutions
- Reaching out to people through media and public meetings
- 3,000 people taught, mobilized and sensitized in selected conflict epicentre
- National Peace policy to be in place by 2012
- Inter‐ethnic harmony witnessed in areas where dialogues are held
